The Latest from the Bald Hill Timber Frame Home

As the seasons change, we thought it was time for a new photo shoot at the Bald Hill Residence. Here’s the latest photographs of this Rocky Mountain western-inspired 3,800 sq. ft. timber frame home in Tolland, CT.

Douglas Fir hammer beam trusses make a dramatic statement on the exterior of the Bald Hill residence. Notice the details on the hammer beam truss design. Like how we arched the beams and used powered coated metal strapping for accent. Also our signature arched braces. It is a strong look.

The hammer beam truss design was carried through to the interior in the great room. Curved timbers are also carried through to the timber frame portico entrance. Rustic accents are part of the design, notably in the rusty metal roofing of the portico, reclaimed barn board on the ceiling of the great room, and fieldstone on the fireplace.
